1. Tell us a bit about yourself

I work full time in the Marketing Department here at Akasha and I also manage the social media across all 3 venues! I started in the Taproom in 2020 and joined the Marketing crew shortly after. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing & HR Management, so this position is allowing me to get firsthand experience whilst also balancing uni part time! I’ve always had a love for photography and social media, so when the job came up, it was a perfect fit! 

2. What’s your favourite all-time beer and why?

I love a good Reschs at the pub on a Friday night, but my all time favourite Akasha beer would either have to be Freshwater Pale Ale or Lime Zest Gose! 

3. What do you find most fascinating about beer?

I studied Biology and Chemistry in school, so the science behind brewing and the ingredients that make beer has always fascinated me! I remember making ethanol in Chemistry and it was a really interesting process. 

4. When did you start working at Akasha and what made you want to work for Akasha?

I started working in the Taproom in August 2020 (as soon as I turned 18!). I then started studying my current degree in Marketing in Feb 2021 as a position opened at Akasha for a junior Marketing Assistant, the timing was perfect! Growing up around beer and people in the brewing industry, I always knew I wanted to be involved! 

5. What do you like best about Akasha’s culture?

I love how we are all one big family here! We all hold a lot of love for each other whilst also being able to take the piss out of one another at times. We’re all also super passionate about beer and our jobs at Akasha which is a really beautiful thing, and it allows us to work perfectly as a team. There’s never a dull moment at Akasha HQ! 

6. What do you enjoy most about working in Akasha's Marketing Department?

My favourite part of the job is being able to let go and get creative whenever I want. Particularly with social media, it’s really fascinating to see what’s trending, what works and what doesn’t, and I love keeping up with all the trends but twisting it to work with our brand! Plus, being able to occasionally make tik tok content as a job is super fun!! 

7. If Akasha could produce any drink (not limited to beer), no matter how outlandish, what would you want it to be and why?

I would say cider so I can stop hearing my non-beer drinking friends complain! 

8. If you have only $10 left in your wallet, what would you get at the shops?

A bar of top deck and a strawberry sugar free monster
